Dr. Krebs grew up in the Wilsonville/Canby area. She graduated with Honors from the University of Oregon in 1997, with a BS degree in Biology and a minor in Biochemistry. She earned her dual DVM degrees from Oregon State University and Washington State University Colleges of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 (graduating Magna Cum Laude from WSU CVM), and completed a 12 month post-graduate internship in equine surgery, internal medicine, reproduction, and dentistry at BEMC in 2003. She then completed a four year long American College of Veterinary Surgeons surgical residency program at BEMC. She has been a partner and co-owner of BEMC since 2008.
Her practice interests include all aspects of equine surgery, performance horse sports medicine, internal medicine, and comprehensive preventive care.
Other than a short break from horse ownership during college, she has owned and competed with horses her whole life, starting with a Shetland pony in 4-H and eventually moving into three day eventing at the one star level when she was in high school. Her early exposure to horses inspired her in large part to become an equine veterinarian, although she dabbled in journalism for a time and still enjoys writing educational articles; she currently trains her Welsh/Warmblood cross gelding, Jose, in dressage. She is married to husband Brant and has a son, Finn, and a daughter, Aven. They live in Tumalo on Copper Moon Ranch, where they raise hay, horses, steers, pigs, chickens and turkeys! She enjoys travel, almost any kind of outdoor activity, and cooking. (Source)
