Acesulfame - Feed Ingredient

Acesulfame, also known as acesulfame potassium or Ace-K, is an artificial sweetener sometimes used in horse feeds or supplements. It is one of the most common sugar substitutes used in a variety of food and beverage products. Acesulfame is approximately 200 times sweeter than sugar but contains negligible calories, making it an appealing ingredient for products intended for horses that need to reduce their calorie intake or manage blood sugar levels.

One of the advantages of acesulfame is its stability under heat, making it suitable for use in baked goods and products that require prolonged storage. It is also resistant to fermentation byproducts, making it compatible with a wide range of feed applications.

The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Acesulfame as an ingredient.
