Biography
Wendy rode horses as a child into her teens, when she stopped riding for about 20 years. She got back into riding and the sport of Endurance in 1998 where she attended a Pan Am Championship as a crew member. She was hooked! Wendy went on to learn all that she could on the ground before deciding in 2006, standing in the arena of the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany that she wanted to ride for Canada in Malaysia in 2008. She had the horse, but just needed to qualify.
Wendy qualified and off to Malaysia she went, finishing 32 in a start of 160. She has been blessed to still be able to ride some great horses at home and around the world. The Tryon World Equestrian Games was tough, but her and her mount made it until the race was stopped, looking and feeling ready to ride the last loop!
To Wendy, there is no better way to see the world than on the back of a horse.
