We have been using Mad Barn products for over a year. Several of our horses have PPID and/or Insulin Resistance so what we supplement them with is paramount to their overall health. We have found that many supplements that are cleverly marketed do not live up to the hype. In fact, some of the supplement’s claims that are made are actually false, and may do more harm than good. When we started using Mad Barn products, it became clear that their products are backed with scientific evidence and the results have been seen in all of our horses. They are only getting the supplements they need that are correctly balanced to their hay by Mad Barn Veterinarians or Nutritionists. My Shetland Pony, Chad, struggles with insulin resistance and, before we had his diet under control, he experienced a very long and painful period of laminitis. Thanks to Mad Barn for feeding and sustaining Hamlet from conception to now – 3 years old. His Dam Georgia has been on Omneity for years and thanks to Mad Barns nutrients balancing was bred, caught and delivered a healthy foal at 15 years of age. Her colt has been supported by Omneity and the balanced diets proposed by the Madbarn team. No carbohydrate loaded growth feeds for him! Recently we added W3 Oil and they are doing great. For Hennka, the grey, many thanks to the Madbarn team for supporting me through the transition to Amino Trace for him, when he decided he didn’t want to eat it. I wanted to start my horse, Sassy, on MSM as she has arthritis. Shortly after I ordered the MSM, she had to temporarily stop her arthritis meds for a few weeks while she was on a medication for another issue. She is not nearly as stiff as she would’ve been without the MSM! I have seen a big difference and would definitely recommend Mad Barn supplements!

My bay aphc gelding Ringo was diagnosed with equine asthma 2 years ago. After a strong dose of meds to clear it and steroids through a neubalizer, I found the Mad Barn Spirulina product. I added 2 scoops a day to his feed and after a month started to see results, he still had a cough but not the dry catch your breath cough, it was a wet and able to clear cough. About 4 months of this I decided to add the Jiaogulan product which helps with respiratory health. Fast forward to today, Ringo is doing amazing. He only coughs a bit at start of work out and breaths better while working. I only have to add extra support products if it’s really dusty or smoky but no more meds. I first started when one of my horses ,sadly foundered. I had tried different supplements and didn’t see much improvement. Then I came across Amino Trace . I started to see improvements!! With exercise and proper diet and the Amino Trace , my horse Valero , was coming back :)

When we got Gypsy as a 4 year old OTTB she was still growing and very green. As she continued to develop muscle during her training she started to be a bit reactive to the leg and wasn’t gaining weight in the right areas. We sought out advise from our vet and it turned out that Gypsy was suffering from [redacted]. She needed medication to help relieve her of pain, and improve the digestibility of her food. I looked for a plan to help her gut health after this treatment and decided on Viceral+ and immediately saw great results. She continued to gain weight and muscle in the right places. As she was doing well on that we switched to Optimum and she continues to do well, even during stressful competition season. I have been using Mad Barn for a few years off and on but in the last 6 months I have been using it everyday. I use the Omneity P and the Magnesium. My boy is 17 years young and really needed the extra help with his feet and hair as well as a bit of a calming agent to help him as he is quite hyper at times even at his age!

The Omneity P has helped his hoofs get stronger and they are growing so much better. He has slight Navicular, so this has helped to keep his feet healthy. His fur is shining and he has even built a lot more muscle and looks great!

The Magnesium is what I love for his mental health. He is a lot more calm and more willing to do things that he wasn’t before. He also runs to me now when I call him because he LOVES it so much. I am now going to be a lifetime user!

We have an 18 year old barrel racer who’s still performing and had his biggest season this year. I can’t imagine the show season this year without MadBarn supplements. We have always been long time users of Spirulina – but this year we added in Omneity, Jiaogulan, MSM, Electrolytes, and Probiotic.
On top of all this, Spirulina kept my mare comfortably breathing in her last few days of life while we tried to save her. We love MadBarn and can’t thank them enough!

I first started using Madbarn Omneity about 3 years ago for our OTTB who had a pitiful tail. After about 3 months I could start to see new growth. My two colts Louie and Finnegan have been on it since birth and are the biggest colts with the nicest manes and tails and coats. I will keep using this product forever.

I'm a huge fan of MadBarn products! They have been a huge contributor to keeping our beloved Arabian mare with PPID healthy, happy, and still showing at the age of 20! The customer service is top notch, and they're always willing to answer questions!

I have a riding school in Mount Albert and with so many different riders, my horses work so hard. We started them on MSM and it has made a huge difference for their recovery after riding. We also have a few of them on w-3 Oil and all their coats are so incredibly soft and shinny, a few that have skin allergies and hives have improved so much since starting the w-3 oil. They Electrolytes really helped keep them hydrated through the hot summer days. Finally the Spirulina has been amazing for my horse (Indy) with heaves. Every year in the spring and summer his breathing and heaves get so bad that he has to go on some sort of steroid medication and be out of work for at least a week, since starting on Spirulina he hasn’t (knock on wood) had an incident all year. Spartan was diagnosed by a vet with Metabolic Syndrome about 6 months ago. I limited his feed but he needed a little more help. The vet had some powder that I tried but was not palettable to him and I was recommended to look at your Amino Trace. I had to really give it to him slowly and increase the amount to the recommended dose that your team wanted him to take. Now mixed with Timothy hay pellets and some omega 3 oil he actually leans in for it I can bearly get it on the ground fast enough! The 2 pictures are 3 months apart, and what a difference 😍

I would like to say how amazing your products are. My horse Sam is a prime example. Sam came to our barn underweight and sad. He had no energy and had pain. His coat was scruffy and dull. His tail was in bad shape. In May of last year I started him on Mad Barn Probiotic and Right Step Horse Mineral. Holy how he has flourished. He looks like a completely different horse thanks to your products. He has energy and has put on weight. His coat is beautiful and shiny and his tail has been growing in fabulously. Commander Tom is a OTTB & came off the track last November 2023 & is being given a year of to recover & learn to be a horse again! Mad Barn products such as Visceral, W-3 Oil, & biotin have really helped him along the way! The visceral really helped his gut you can now brush & touch him with out him getting upset. I’ve really noticed a difference in his coat with the w3-oil & his feet are in way better condition now that I have started feeding him biotin he’s been on it for about 5 months now. I am really happy with the noticeable differences I see in all my horses on mad barn products!

I started using omneity pellets in the spring of last year to help my then 16 year old quarter horse have all the vitamins and nutrients he needed that our pasture was missing. His top line improved and his hooves grew quickly. I ride him 3-5 days a week and show him as well. Last summer was particularly dry and he developed a cough for the first time ever! He had a lower airway infection. After treatment from the vet I started looking for supplements to prevent this from happening again. I started using W-3 oil last summer to increase his vitamin E intake to boost his immune system and I noticed an improvement in his coat and energy level. He also loves the taste. I also ordered spirulina for respiratory support and have fed it all spring and summer this year and I’m happy to report there’s been no coughing! I’m very impressed with madbarn products!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words… all I have to say is before adding biotin vs after ;p previously my tb had never grown a good forelock , I don’t think I realized just how much a difference it made until I did a side by side !

I did a nutrition consult with Mad Barn after noticing that my lease mare, Popcorn, had lost some weight and muscle condition. Christine was extremely helpful and was able to explain the details of what Popcorn was getting in her diet and what she was missing. Christine suggested adding salt and w-3 oil to Popcorn’s food and it has made a huge difference. It’s been very exciting to see how much of a difference these relatively small changes have made!

Popcorn has always struggled with building muscle and topline, and due to being pigeon toed she can be extremely clumsy. Being so off balanced and under muscles made her extremely strong on the trails, as she rushes when she feels unstable.
Since starting w-3 oil 4 months ago she has felt like a completely different horse. She has been able to build enough muscle to better support herself and gained enough extra energy that she can keep up on longer trail rides without becoming hot or spooky. While there’s no fixing her pigeon toes, I find that she trips significantly less often and is able to catch herself much more smoothly when she does trip because her joints are more flexible and comfortable. She’s even starting to regain some topline, which has been an ongoing struggle in the 2 years I’ve known her.
Her improving physical health has made it possible for us to finally address some of the training issues that we’ve struggled with, and she’s gone from a horse that constantly needed to be held back and following other more confident horses on trail rides to being able to cheerfully lead trails/go out alone on a loose rein at a slow jog.

Her coat is also soft and smooth, and even a little shiny if you can catch her before she’s rolled in the mud!

All around I’m very impressed with both Mad Barn’s nutrition consult service and with their products. I’m excited to see how Popcorn continues to improve, and I also love that their nutritionists are available to help further if we encounter any new set backs

I first tried MadBarn products after I brought home a new OTTB 4 years ago. When he stepped off the trailer I was shocked at the bad quality of his feet, dull coat, and overall poor condition.

I am so pleased with the product quality and customer service from Mad Barn! I wanted to switch my 7yo OTTB over to a forage-based diet but wasn’t sure where to start. We had a free nutritional consult with Sophie, who was so friendly and helpful on the phone – she spent as much time as I needed to answer questions and go over details, and followed up promptly with written analyses and plans. We followed her instructions for a mix of Mad Barn products and some of our existing supplements. The new protocol saves me $50/month, and my horse is doing really well on it. With the mix of alfalfa pellets, Omneity, W3 oil, MSM, salt, and a gut supplement, he has quiet but forward energy, and has performed really well during our summer heat wave. His hooves have been surprisingly good with the dry weather and hard ground, his coat looks gorgeous, and his mane and tail are growing thick and fast. After my mare suffered multiple colics, unexplained weight- and muscle-tone loss, I decided to switch to various MadBarn products. My OTTB Nay Nay has been on Omneity since late March (in May we switched to half pellets and continued the premix at half a serving since he wasn’t the biggest fan). While we also treated for Lyme and EPM, in the almost years I’ve owned him, he’s never looked this good, eaten this little concentrate (I continue to reduce his hard feed), or had this shiny of a coat. I reached out for suggestions as he’s highly reactive to insects (and fly spray to the point his skin falls off) and your team suggested trying Omneity. I never thought I’d see this kind of response.
