This is Avion. She is the definition of an all around superstar. This summer she started to event with a 15 year old girl and they won four horse trials in a row. She can then turn the energy off and pack around her rusty stirrup owner in the hack division at local schooling shows. Just for fun let’s throw in some hunter paces and go exploring. And of course the ultimate babysitter, teaching toddlers the ropes of riding! She’s incredibly smart, not overly talented but she is as safe as they come and looks after her rider no matter what! Mad Barn is a huge part of her health program and she wouldn’t be as successful without proper gut health!

My horse died in 2017, but I still receive emails from madbarn and thought I’d give my testimony here. I had Lancelot from age (we were the same age) 12 to 18, then for 3 months at the age of 23 before he died of cancer.

He was an ex barrel racer, and already had arthritis when we bought him at 12 years old. My step mother introduced me to MadBarn when Lancelot and I were 15. Not only did he have arthritis but very sensitive hooves, we were always treating him for thrush. The supplements from MadBarn helped him so much, he was at the peak of his health! Running around all the time like a young foal. I bought him back at the age of 23 years old, not knowing he had cancer. For the 3 months he was with us, I could see how quickly his hooves’ health improved. MadBarn helped Lancelot until his very last days, and I will be forever thankful to you guys for helping us out.

This is “Fella” a Canadian Sport Horse gelding that I trained up the levels in Dressage from a young horse. He and I successfully competed to 4th Level with many Championships under our belt. He is now a wonderful School Master for an Adult Amateur.

When competing my horses I always worry about the stress that travelling and new environments can put on the horses. I am coming from an 8-day stay at the Upper Canada Village Horse Lover’s Weekend. My horse Indy is their ambassador for “relationship-based riding,” where she walks freely in the village among the crowd: 7,700 for two days of the weekend.

I have switched to Amino Trace Plus after almost two years of struggling to find ways to get my horses to eat individual nutrients based on hay analysis – no matter how ideal a ‘custom’ blend it is doesn’t work if they won’t eat it! I LOVE them. Shes on the chunky side as usual with the grass coming up but cannot complain with dapples like that! I have to give props to Mad Barn here though. She is normally dappled out for most of the year on her own but its really impressive now that I swapped her to this!

Weight gain has been an issue with this filly from the beginning. She’s not had the best appetite and definitely had a hard transition coming off of the track at first. (can you believe it?! A chestnut filly not loving a change in her world?) She was lean and fit from the track still when she arrived and it took a bit of tough love to adjust to her new life. We are just over 8 weeks in now and while we can’t do much else other than dream of dry pastures and sunshine, I was able to stand back and really see the change in this filly since she first arrived. I can’t wait to see what she looks like once we can seriously get going!

For anyone having similar issues with transitioning post racetrack. I cannot recommend Mad Barn products enough. She was a vicious stall weaver and a total fence chewing beaver out in the pasture when she first arrived. She’s been on their Omneity and Visceral for just over 5 weeks now and she’s really blossomed on it.

Now if monsoon season would move along so we could get to work☔️
