Alaina Kringen-Scholtz, DVM, cVMA

Dr. Lainie joined our team here at Twin Lakes Animal Clinic in May of 2020.   She is a 2010 Madison High School graduate who attended South Dakota State University to earn a Bachelors in Animal Science Degree in 2013.  From there, she earned here Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2017 from Iowa State University.  Dr. Lainie was hired by Prairie View Vet Clinic of Miller, SD where she honed her skills in equine and bovine medicine for two and a half years.  An opportunity came up for Dr. Lainie and her husband, Andy, who is a CHS Agronomist to purchase an acreage North of Lake Madison, SD.  She then worked at Animal Medical Care in Brookings, SD, until she came to Twin Lakes Animal Clinic.

Dr. Lainie has special interest in equine and bovine sports medicine, acupuncture and chiropractic care from small animals to large.

In her spare time, Dr. Lainie is an avid barrel racer, enjoys spending time with her family, and helping with her husband’s Angus show cattle business, Scholtz Cattle Company.  (source)
