Alan Shell

Alan began working for Magdalena/McPeek in 2007 as an Assistant Trainer spending the majority of his time in Florida. Currently, he is based in Lexington and is the Stable Manager for the McPeek/Magdalena horses training at Keeneland Race Course.

Growing up in Central Kentucky, Alan developed a love of horses at a young age. While earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science at the University Of Kentucky, he was exposed to many equine disciplines and breeds. After graduation in 2005, his passion for horses continued. Alan decided on a career in the Thoroughbred industry and in 2006 attended The Irish National Stud course in County, Kildare, Ireland.

During the Winter of 2009, Alan met his wife Trisha in Wellington, Florida. They were married in 2012 and are the proud parents of two lovely daughters, Taylor and Reagan. (Source)
