Alana Catherine King, DVM

Dr. King received her veterinary degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario. Following graduation, she completed an internship at a busy equine emergency referral facility in San Antonio, Texas. During this time she discovered an affinity for equine reproduction and obste­trics, and afterwards obtained board certification in theriogenology through the residency program at the University of Florida.

As part of this program, she worked for one year collaboratively with Hagyard Equine Medical Center’s fertility unit and the Gluck Equine Research Center in Kentucky. She then worked in the Saratoga region for three years before arriving at Millbrook Equine Veterinary Center in 2014, where she specializes in mare and stallion reproduction and has a special interest in neonatal care.
