My motto is that flat work makes the dream work. I fully believe issues over fences can be solved from both work on the ground and on the flat, whether the horse is green broke or preparing for a Grand Prix. Your equine athletes have had numerous riders and experiences before you, and it is important that they trust your decisions on course in rough moments. Your horse doesn’t know it’s value, it only reciprocates the way you treat it, and the same basis of horsemanship applies no matter the discipline.

My farm and I will take on just about any horse and it’s situation. I have had reigning horses make a career change to a small junior hunter and win Grand Champion, quirky and dangerous horses written off by former owners be turned into lesson horses, 3rd level dressage horses become eventing mounts, and Grand Prix jumpers that have learned to pack 9-year-old’s around the cross rails.
