Dr. Sturtevant is a veterinarian at Mid-Rivers Equine Centre from Franklin, Massachusetts. She has been showing Hunter Jumper horses since age five and in her teens began riding imported young horses. Showing was an enjoyable experience, but she found working with the young horses was far more rewarding. Her interest in veterinary medicine was sparked by the Veterinarians she encountered at her horse show barn. That, combined with the satisfaction she received from working with show prospects, she quickly determined that equine medicine would become her career path. (Source)
