Alice Baker Meuten, DVM

Dr. Alice is a North Carolina native, but is proud to call Northern Colorado her home. Dr. Alice grew up in the mountains of North Carolina on a small farm and always wanted to become a veterinarian. During her undergraduate career at Warren Wilson College near Asheville, NC, she studied sustainable agriculture and began to prepare herself for a life as a rural veterinarian. She focused on equine and ruminant studies during veterinary school at North Carolina State University and started her career at a large animal hospital in Apex, NC. As a veterinarian, she very quickly realized that she wasn’t able to help many of her performance patients recover from injury with the training she had received, so being a health and fitness enthusiast herself and wanting to help her patients reach their highest possible level of health and performance, Dr. Alice began pursuing integrative/alternative medicine as well as sports medicine and rehabilitation techniques to discover new ways to further enrich the lives of her patients and the happiness of their humans.
