Alison Herr Oliver, DVM

The child of a veterinarian, Dr. Oliver grew up going on farm calls and working in the clinic. Her father, a pivotal role model in her career. After her days of cleaning cages in Adrian, Michigan, Dr. Oliver earned her B.S. in Microbiology from Michigan State University. She then worked in a research laboratory at the National Institutes of Health for 3 years prior to getting accepted into the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Oliver worked in a mixed animal practice for four years in Connecticut where she also served on the board for the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association.​

Dr. Oliver moved to Virginia in 2007 and has worked at Cedarville Veterinary Clinic for the past seven years. During this time, she was also the Veterinarian-in-Charge at Equine Reproduction Concepts in Amissville, Va until 2013. She founded Oliver Mobile Veterinary Service in September, 2015. After a successful year, Dr. Oliver’s husband was offered a new job opportunity that would bring them closer to family. In July 2016, Dr. Oliver moved with her family back to the midwest to Toledo, Ohio. They now reside in a small farm just outside Toledo with 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 horses and a new pet bunny! (Source)
