Alyzabeth Schwettman, DVM

Dr. Alyzabeth Schwettman grew up in Denton, TX, where her love for animals developed through showing cattle and FFA. She attended Texas A&M University for undergrad where she earned her degree in Animal Science and a minor in Agriculture Economics. After graduation, she continued to veterinary school at Texas A&M where she graduated in 2016.

After graduation, Dr. Schwettman moved to Taylor, TX and began her career with Bastrop Veterinary Hospital. She became an owner in 2020.

When not at BVH, Dr. Schwettman enjoys spending time with her husband, Matthew, who is a farmer in Taylor, TX. They have an 8 year old Australian Shepherd/Heeler mix named Remi. She enjoys traveling, reading, and attending Aggie football games. Dr. Schwettman especially enjoyed her veterinary trips to Haiti, Honduras, and Navajo Nation while in veterinary school; going to the beach with Remi, and traveling to different countries including Spain, Germany, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
