Dr. Carlson grew up with her family on the Front Range and has been competing in hunters/jumpers since she was 8 years old.
She excelled nationally as a junior in the hunters, jumpers and equitation which founded her love for sports medicine.
She completed a B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Denver in 2014 and earned her DVM at Colorado State University in 2018. She also became certified in acupuncture at this time.
She completed a comprehensive internship at Austin Equine Hospital in Driftwood, TX. She then moved east to complete a Sport Horse Fellowship at Miller & Associates in Brewster, NY and Wellington, FL.
During her free time, besides riding and developing her young horses, she enjoys cooking, sailing, and spending time outside with her dog, Lexie. (Source)
