A long-time resident of Gold Beach, Dr. Barke received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Washington University. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She opened her own practice here in Gold Beach in 1986, where she specializes in dogs, cats, and horses. She is also involved in the community, 4H, the Curry County Fair, and was a local high school science fair judge. Among her many accolades, she was chosen as one of America’s Best Veterinarians of 2014 by the National Consumer Advisory Board. (Source)
