Dr. Brett McCaskill grew up on a Charolais beef cattle farm in Franklin, NC and has always held a passion for animal agriculture. He pursued this passion at NC State where he recieved his bachelors degree in animal science and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine with a focus on cattle and equine medicine. Following school he practiced as a large animal associate veterinarian in Wisconsin before returning to North Carolina to begin Ascent Veterinary Health. His practice focus areas are in Equine Health, Dentistry and Emergency Medicine as well as in Cattle Reproduction and production consulting. (Source)
