Caitlin is a certified equine massage therapist serving the Greater Boston and Nashua areas. Her love for horses started at the young age of six after taking lessons and has since developed into a lifelong passion. With diverse equine background, Caitlin has a unique understanding for a variety of disciplines and breeds.
In her early years, Caitlin learned to ride saddle seat on American Saddlebreds and Morgans. She then joined the local 4-H horse program to build a solid foundation of horsemanship, showing her project horses Charlie and Trace in a variety of classes ranging from dressage, gymkhana, and pleasure. In college, Caitlin showed in the Intermediate hunt seat equitation division for the esteemed Northeastern University. She led the team as captain for three consecutive seasons, frequently competing at both the regional and national levels, including winning the IHSA Teresa L. McDonald Horsemanship Challenge, a test focusing on equine knowledge and first aid, with her teammates. Currently, Caitlin is focused on pursuing local, western all around shows with her personal horse Trace.
Riding at such diverse levels, Caitlin appreciates all aspects of competition and equestrian pursuits from the retired school pony to the leisurely trail master to the high performing equine athlete. With her variety of employment experience from being a working student to working at a veterinary hospital, Caitlin has gained a deep comprehension of what it takes to help a horse feel their best. Caitlin’s determination to improve the wellbeing and performance of horses through massage has led her to found Extend Equine Massage and continue supporting the equestrian community and well deserving equine partners.
