Established in 2005, Emily Oliver answered the call to provide a therapeutic horseback riding center in the Ellis County area. Set in the beautiful, rolling landscape of south Waxahachie, Campfire Creek offers a quiet country atmosphere to its participants and equine therapists. Since its inception, CCTRC has grown to fifty-one active students with an additional eleven on the waiting list, pending their paperwork. There are now twelve horses in the program, three certified instructors, two pending certified instructors, an estimated fifty regular volunteers, three arenas, and a barn with stables and tack room.
