Carlton Scott Wilson, DVM

In 2004, Dr. Scott Wilson graduated from Virginia Tech with his undergraduate degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences, with an emphasis in Equine Production and Business. A few years later, he earned his veterinary degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, also with an equine track.

From 2009-2010, he interned with Damascus Equine Associates in Mount Airy, Maryland. The following two years he spent his equine ambulatory specialty residency at his alma mater, the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Here, he specialized in equine dentistry, and did quite a bit of teaching as well. In 2012, Dr. Wilson traveled to Warrenton, Virginia and was the dental clinician for the Old Waterloo Equine Clinic. Dr. Wilson launched Mid-Atlantic Equine Dentistry in January, 2013.

In his free time, Dr. Wilson enjoys spending time in the outdoors. He’s an avid fisherman, and loves water sports. Dr. Wilson spent several years competing horses in hunter/jumper shows and events, and was also a member of Virginia Tech’s Intercollegiate riding team. Dr. Wilson also loves spending time with his family, whether it be tailgating at a Virginia Tech football game, surf fishing in Myrtle Beach, or vacationing at the lake in Virginia. (Source)
