Cassandra Burghardt, DVM

Dr. Cassandra Burghardt grew up in Rancho Cucamonga, California. She attended UC Davis where she received an Animal Science degree in 2013. After graduation, she moved to Texas as fast as she could! Dr. Burghardt went to veterinary school at Texas A&M where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2019.

Dr. Burghardt started her veterinary career with Bastrop Veterinary Hospital immediately after graduation. She has developed a passion in small animal internal medicine, dermatology, and preventative herd health. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and American Association of Bovine Practitioners.

Outside of her time at BVH, Dr. Burghardt enjoys gardening, spending time with family and friends, and cooking. She has two dogs, Kunu and Bella (both Pit mixes), who like hiking in the Bastrop area. Dr. Burghardt likes traveling back to Marble Falls where she began her time in Texas, and to see family in Texas, California, Oregon, and across the country. (Source)
