Dr. Shaw is a 2014 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She grew up on a small beef farm in central Ohio, and developed a love for animals early in life. After graduation, Dr. Katie worked in a large animal practice outside of Buffalo, New York, where she focused on dairy cattle, horses, and small ruminants prior to moving to central Pennsylvania. She joined the Sunbury Animal Hospital team in November of 2021. Her professional interests include herd health, surgery, and preventative medicine for both large and small animal patients. When not at work, Dr. Shaw enjoys hiking and kayaking with her husband, Matt, and their two dogs, Mia and Norman. (Source)
