Christian Andrew Affeldt, DVM

Dr. Chris Affeldt grew up in Minnesota where he received his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University in 1991. He then graduated from the University of Minnesota Veterinary College in 1995 and moved to Centralia. He began working for what was then Macomber and Wesselius Veterinary Clinic and now is part owner of the same practice, renamed Cascade West Veterinary Hospital. In September 2011, he moved to the Tumwater area and he continues to work full time at Cascade West.Dr. Affeldt mainly sees equine and large animals, though he also sees small animals occasionally. His professional interests include equine wellness, reproduction, and lameness.Other interests include snow and water-skiing, hiking, mountaineering, cycling and spending time with his wife Darby, also an athletic veterinarian/financial adviser, with a focuson…DVM’s and practices, his daughter Emmelyn, and son Truman; The family has a darling Lab named Lava, whom always rides along on calls, and at least 3 cats, quite possibly more when Darby can’t resist the cute faces at the shelter.
