Christine A. Murdoch, DVM

Dr. Christine Murdoch started the business from grass roots as a mobile practice in 1991. She later built a physical facility in 1993 and expanded in 2003. She wanted to be a veterinarian from the time she was 6 years old and has always loved dogs, cats and horses. The best thing about working with animals is that they are pretty forgiving and accepting of the things that we do with and for them. Seeing the bond between animals and their human caregivers and being able to help maintain and strengthen that bond is very rewarding for her.

Dr. Murdoch knew she was in the right profession the first time that she splinted a broken leg and could see the relief in the dog’s eyes. Her decision is reaffirmed every time she diagnoses an illness that she can alleviate, perform a surgery that saves a life, or provide preventative care that will prolong the life of her patients. The wonderful clients that she gets to meet every day that have been bringing their pets to see me from the time that she opened my doors and whose sons, daughters, or in some cases grandchildren are now bringing their pets to her practice confirm that she had made the best career choice for herself.

Her professional interests are pretty broad. She enjoys doing surgery and the challenges of difficult medical cases. She likes to learn new things and have taken an interest in Sports medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Murdoch is a member of the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia, the Canadian Veterinarian Medical Association, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management.

Dr. Murdoch is married and has a teenage daughter. They enjoy outdoor activities, camping, family gatherings, ride horses – competitive show jumping. She also enjoys watching her daughter play basketball, compete on her horse and train her German Shepherd dog. (Source)
