Chuck Whitmer, DVM

Dr. Whitmer grew up in Fallon Nevada working with cattle and horses. His experience in the veterinary industry began in Nevada, working with his hometown veterinarian his senior year of high school and has been in the industry since then. He attended college in Reno at the University of Nevada, Reno. GO PACK! He later went on to Colorado State University where he received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, additionally, he stayed on at CSU one extra year to complete an internship with the Equine Ambulatory Team. He recently spent time in the central valley of California working in a 3-doctor equine hospital. Dr. Whitmer’s veterinary interests include lameness, reproduction and surgery. He also has an interest in saddle construction and fit in regards to the western horse. When he isn’t working he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Shannon and their two children Tate and Ella. A few of his hobbies include: Team roping, Saddle making and brewing beer just to name a few. (Source)
