Claudia K. True, DVM

Dr. True graduated from Virginia Tech, with a BS in Biology, in 1981. She received her DVM from the Virginia/Maryland School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. After graduation she interned in large animal practice at the Texas A&M Veterinary School. In 1987 Dr. True came back to Virginia and was hired by Dr. Milton Kingsbury, the original owner of Woodside.

Dr. True specializes in equine dentistry and preventive medicine. She routinely speaks at professional conferences and veterinary schools. She served as president of the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association 2011-2012, served on the VVMA Board of Directors and was a past president of the Virginia Association of Equine Practitioners.

Dr. True grew up in Fairfax County, Virginia. A trip to Chincoteague Island when she was young spurred her interest in horses. She showed hunters locally until she went to college.
