Dr. Treser has been a horse owner since 1968, when his parents bought a quarter horse gelding. From 1969 to 1974 he competed extensively in Western horse shows on the Pacific Coast in the Pleasure, Equitation, Trail, and Stock horse categories.
His undergraduate degree was in zoology from Pomona College in Claremont, and he graduated with his degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of California, Davis, with an emphasis in Equine Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Treser has been with EVA since graduating from veterinary school in 1982: first as an intern, then as an employed veterinarian, and then as an owner/partner. He has a special interest in the horses competing in the horse show industry, provides backup for EVA’s reproductive expert, and enjoys the special needs of the older horse population. He lives is Norco with his wife and kids (the proud father of two sets of twins) sharing his home with horses, dogs, and a large tortoise named Lloyd. (Source)
