Dr. Anne Thomae

Dr. Anne Thomae was born and raised in Hingham, Massachusetts and moved to Charleston, South Carolina for warmer temperatures and sunnier skies!  From the beginning, she always had a special connection with animals.  She was a vet technician at a 24-hour emergency vet clinic during her high school and college summers and has continued to rescue and advocate for animals to this day.  Giving animals a chance at a better quality of life has always been her priority.

Dr. Anne graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida with a Doctorate of Chiropractic and is Nationally Board Certified.  Despite beginning her career focused on human patients she never forgot the passion for the four-legged kind.  Credit goes to her mother for mailing her a local Massachusetts newspaper article about an animal chiropractor – which kept the fire burning.  

Dr. Anne completed her training in Animal Chiropractic at Options for Animals Chiropractic College in Kansas.  She is a current certified practitioner for Animal Chiropractic by the IVCA (International Veterinary Chiropractic Association).

Dr. Anne owns Horse Power Chiropractic.  She lives in the Charleston area with her husband and animal-loving daughter.  She enjoys weightlifting, cooking, baking, bad reality shows on tv, and riding western and on the trails with her horse, Sprüdel.  As the parent to a zoo of 8 cats, 2 dogs, and 1 horse, she understands the value of increasing the quality life of your animal(s) and how animals have transcended being pets and have become family.

Dr. Anne’s mission is to help her furry patients reach their health goals through chiropractic care.  Dr. Anne is proudly serving the Charleston and Summerville areas and beyond for mobile animal chiropractic services.
