Edda Eliasson, DVM

Dr. Edda has been practicing veterinary medicine for almost 40 years. She opened Village Veterinary Service in 1991 and has called the village of Amelia “home” ever since. In this time, she has worked closely with several rescue groups in the area, providing low cost services and cat and dog neuters. Since 2005 Dr. Eliasson has cared for and placed over 3,500 kittens and cats from her own cat rescue program. She and her husband Marcus have one daughter, Anneliese, who also works at Village Veterinary Service. They have 1 dog, a dachshund named Pepper, 1 cat, Lawrence, and a horse named Vickie. In her free time, Dr. Eliasson is an avid equestrian and enjoys being a member of the local Cowboy Fast-Draw Society. (Source)
