Due to such, at the early age of 9, becoming an equine veterinarian became my life long goal and passion. So at the age of 20, my wife Margie, my daughter Frances, and I, left the island of Puerto Rico and started a new life in the USA mainland. From limited conversational English, to landscaping and house cleaning jobs in Florida, to USDA Food Inspection and Analytical Chemistry jobs in Georgia, and lots of schooling… the dream became true!
Once I graduated from the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine, an opportunity at a great veterinary clinic in the West Coast, Loomis Basin Equine Medical Center, became available, so our next journey began in California. As an associated at LBEMC, I have the pleasure of working with great veterinarians, staff, owners, trainers, and of course, awesome horses. (Source)
