Libby Farney is a spring 2020 graduate of K-State’s School of Veterinary Medicine and soon after graduation, joined the AVC team. She considered several different medical careers before a serendipitous job in equine veterinary research helped her make a final decision to pursue vet school. Prior to AVC, Libby gained hands-on experience as a small animal veterinary assistant, plus worked at KSU’s vet school and with mentors to gain large animal experience. Today, she spends her time treating large animals at AVC, gaining valuable mentorship and practical experience, all while becoming a part of the Ashland community. At home, Libby cares for five dogs and three horses and enjoys gardening, reading and biking. (Source)
