I grew up in rural Hinckley and was very involved in FFA. I earned my bachelor’s degree in biology at Western Illinois University and then received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Illinois in 2021.
My favorite part of veterinary school was volunteering in the Wildlife Medical Clinic, where I was able to work with many native Illinois species.
After veterinary school I came back home and joined the team at Sandwich Veterinary Hospital. I have a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog named Hank, two horses, a small flock of chickens, two cats, and some cattle at a neighboring farm. I like to spend my free time outdoors; running, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, and enjoying nature! (Source)
