Dr. Emily Vermillion is originally from Simpsonville, SC, where she grew up on a small farm showing horses and involved in 4-H. She received a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Georgia, where she gained more experience working with beef cattle and conducting research on swine nutrition and ruminant parasitology. She attended veterinary school at the University of Georgia with an emphasis in food animal production medicine. Emily is primarily focused on large animal medicine and surgery, with special interests in beef cattle production medicine, large animal reproduction, and equine sports medicine and lameness. In her spare time, Emily enjoys doing anything outside- especially riding horses, hiking, running, and fishing. She also loves cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs! (Source)
