Erica Petal Mutch

Since the age of six, Erica has dedicated her life to horses. She began her riding career at her farm in California, learning how to ride ponies. From this moment on, Erica knew what she truly loved, competing. Thanks to Mutch’s hard work at home, her career consists of numerous wins. Including Medal Finals, Hunter Derbies, Grand Prix jumpers. Erica has competed all over the United States & Canada. Most famously, Erica successfully competed at Spruce Meadows. She was zone and national champion.

As an amateur, she owned a farm in Virginia until she moved back to Southern California where her business is today as a professional. She now focuses on teaching riders everything she knows.

As a trainer, Erica focuses on the horse & rider to create a training program that will fit both. With her experience, Erica knows how to teach a successful pair. She ensures that each client knows how to be a great horseperson, not just a rider, because Erica herself is an amazing horsewoman.

Erica has worked alongside many successful trainers and riders. For years, Erica rode with Ronnie Mutch, in who taught her everything he knew, and she now incorporates it into her training program every day. (Source)
