Welcome Everyone!
Here’s a little information about me. My name is Havana Crook, and I’m 25 years old. I live in Plymouth, Wisconsin, and currently coach the Fond du Lac Horse and Pony Project drill team. I have two amazing young ladies who ride Pixy and Maple in classes at the Fond du Lac County Fair. In my free time, I enjoy riding side saddle, mounted shooting, participating in local fun shows, trail riding, camping, spending time with family and friends, and helping out with the Fond du Lac County Horse and Pony Project as much as possible. I truly enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion with others who have the same interests.
My love and interest in horses began over 15 years ago. I own three beautiful mares—Pixy, Maple, and Mocha—who are the primary reason I’m starting my journey in equine massage.
Another important horse in my life significantly impacted my interest in equine massage and helping horses find comfort and pain relief. On July 8 2023, I purchased my first horse, Dolly, a 12-year-old grade palomino. She was everything to me, alongside Pixy. Dolly had some underlying conditions I wasn’t aware of. My vet and I ran tests and drew blood, but everything came back normal. I struggled to help her gain weight and build strength. She had an incredible drive to please and always wanted a job to do. In late August, she took a spill and developed fluid in her fetlock. In September, following veterinary guidance, we decided to proceed with a routine IM joint lubricant injection. Her first dose was very successful and showed improvement. At her second appointment, she was cleared for light work and received her last dose of the IM injection. After hearing such exciting news and being ready to return to light work, I went to pay my invoice, and the IM injection unfortunately put her into anaphylactic shock, and she passed away on September 20 2024. My vet provided phenomenal care and tried everything to keep Dolly alive, but ultimately, Dolly showed us both it was her time to go. After snuggling me one last time, she took her final breath. These experiences taught me a great deal, and I wanted to continue expanding my knowledge and experience by offering equine massage to other horses in need.
