Dr. Wendell started Carlisle Equine Clinic in 1998. She received her doctorate of veterinary medicine from University of Florida in 1982. Prior to owning her own clinic she was an associate with Penn Paddock Equine Center for 18 years. She and her husband moved to the Carlisle area and both opened their own practices. Her husband, Dr. Curt Barnett, owns Carlisle Small Animal Clinic.
Dr. Holly (as she prefers to be called by her clients) has continued to provide exceptional care to her patients by staying current on new therapies, treatment options, and diagnostic tools as they have become available. She believes that educating the client is one of the most important aspects of medicine and therefore has invested in diagnostic tools that achieve on-farm results to be viewed by client and doctor together. When not enjoying the countryside by car, Dr. Holly enjoys riding, hiking, skiing, and any other activity which may get her outdoors. (Source)
