Howland Mansfield, DVM, CVA, CVMMP

Howland Mansfield, DVM, CVA, CVMMP was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, SC where she was actively involved in the Charleston Pony Club and grew up showing in hunter/jumper shows. As a teenager, she began to immerse herself in the eventing world and was successful through preliminary level.

Dr. Mansfield received her B.S. in Biology at the University of Georgia in 2004 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. After veterinary school she completed two internships, one in general medicine and surgery and one in advanced reproduction.

Following her internships, Dr. Mansfield returned to the low country and worked at Shambley Equine Clinic. She then received an offer to work at Middleburg Equine Clinic in Middleburg, VA, where she spent three years working on some of the top sport horses in the country.
While in Virginia, Dr. Mansfield became certified in equine acupuncture. She then spent some time in Germany where she worked on some of the most elite show jumpers in Europe. Dr. Mansfield then moved to central Pennsylvania and worked on a wide variety of horses ranging from Amish workhorses to accomplished show horses.

In July 2021, Dr. Mansfield became a certified veterinary medical manipulation practitioner for horses from the Integrative Veterinary Medical Institute in Reddick, FL.

In her spare time, Dr. Mansfield enjoys spending time with her friends and family and her beagle mix Rooster. (Source)
