Hugh J Baird, DVM

Dr. Baird is a long-term resident and business owner in Hampton. He has a diploma in Agriculture from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University of Guelph. Dr. Baird has owned and operated a large veterinary corporation, consisting of three veterinary hospitals and a mobile equine practice within Southern New Brunswick. He operated a large standardbred breeding farm, a standardbred racing stable, and produced 3 winners of the “Atlantic Canada Horse of the Year” award. He has bred dogs for several decades, including Newfoundland dogs, Bulldogs, and Labrador Retrievers. With over 40 years of experience, Dr. Baird brings excellent skills in surgery, orthopedics, nutrition, equine medicine, and business management.
