Ivey grew up competing in Southern California. After beginning to compete at 7 years old, she went on to receive top 10 finishes in many of the local medals and national hunter derbies as a junior and amateur. She was the PCHA 3’6” Large Junior Hunter year end champion and also placed 2nd in the PCHA 18-35 medal in 2018. (Source)
