Jamie Pearson

I grew up on a beef farm in rural southern New Brunswick and my love for animals started from a very young age. I was surrounded by cows, horses, a dog and barn cats which likely influenced this love and at the age of 5 years old I knew that I wanted to become a veterinarian. I completed 2 years of a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Biology and a Minor in Psychology at the University of Prince Edward Island before being accepted into the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the Atlantic Veterinary College. I graduated top of my class and received 2 awards recognizing my surgical skills.

During my final year of vet school, I completed the Mixed Animal Acupuncture course through the Chi Institute and am also Fear Free Certified. My interests include surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology and emergency medicine. I have one pet of my own, a toy poodle named Lacey and in my free time I enjoy hiking, traveling and horseback riding.

I am very excited to be joining the Riverview Animal Hospital team and am looking forward to developing my career within this amazing team. (Source)
