Dr. Lemus grew up in Shadow Hills, CA, a suburb of Los Angeles. She developed her love for horses watching her dad play polo and later began showing her Morgan Horse, Gavin as well as riding with the California Rangers. Dr. Lemus received her Bachelors of Science in Equine Science at Colorado State University where she developed a love for foals, volunteering on the foal care team and working in the medicine department of an equine hospital in Kentucky during a breeding season. Dr. Lemus earned her DVM from the University of California, Davis. Through her studies she developed a strong interest in critical care, neonatal care, internal medicine, and ophthalmology.
Dr. Lemus is very excited to be a part of the LEMC team. In her spare time, Dr. Lemus enjoys going for runs, reading, and spending time with her friends. (Source)
