Jessica Johnson

Dr. Jessica Johnson joined the Main Street Veterinary Hospital team in November of 2016, exclusively providing dentistry and oral surgery services.

She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from The University of Arkansas and graduated with honors from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Over the course of ten years as a small animal general and emergency practitioner, she developed a special interest in dentistry and oral surgery.

In 2020, Dr. Johnson completed her residency with Dr. Heidi Lobprise DVM, DAVDC to focus on dentistry and oral surgery. Her interests include oral-maxillofacial trauma, complicated extractions, oral tumors, periodontal therapy, pediatric dentistry, and endodontics.

Her objective is to advocate for her patient’s quality of life through the education of their pet owners. She aims to help her patients achieve a comfortable bite and a mouth that is free of infection and pain. She has repeatedly witnessed the new lease on life that her patients achieve once the chronic inflammation and discomfort in their mouths is resolved.

Dr. Johnson also has a passion for providing continuing education to general practitioners. She writes monthly articles for the local veterinary medical associations, performs in-clinic education at DFW hospitals, and was invited to speak about small animal dentistry at Canada’s largest veterinary conference in 2021.

She has three children and they share their home with a rambunctious and mischievous shepherd-mix named Biscuit. (Source)
