Joan Promen

Joan Promen has been a riding, training, showing, and instructing students and instructors for over 53 years. After leasing many facilities, Joan and her family were able to obtain 33 acres of land east of Hwy 310 and Morse Rd. by Lynd’s fruit farm in 1998. In late 1999, with only 6 months to plan, get financing and build, Bookmark Farms was opened in September 2000. In 2003, Joan obtained the adjoining five acres and house to make Bookmark Farms a 38-acre facility.

Over the years, Bookmark Farms has grown to be known as a premier hunter- jumper educational and training center. Now, along with Carol, Courtney, our wonderful barn staff and lessons assistants, she is looking forward to continuing to offer the best in learning here at Bookmark Farms for horse and rider. While managing the very active barn, Joan still teaches about 10 hours a week and tries to ride when she can! (Source)
