Joanne Ruisi, DVM

Dr. Ruisi was raised in Wickenburg and the beautiful Arizona desert. Her passion for animals and love of the great outdoors lead her in the pursuit of a career in veterinary medicine. After serving 6 years of active duty in the U.S. Navy, traveling the world, and graduating from Washington State University – College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Ruisi returned home to Wickenburg in 2007. In 2012 she embarked on a new business venture to give back to the community and opened ‘Hassayampa Veterinary Services’. Most days she can be found at the clinic with her dog “Lizzie”. Dr. Ruisi was awarded the “Veterinarian of the Year” (2016) with recognition for Leadership and Professional Development by the VHCTAz/AzVMA. (Source)
