Joel W. Percival, DVM

Welcome to Big Creek Veterinary Hospital! My name is Joel Percival. I have been practicing veterinary medicine since I graduated from The Ohio State University in 1987. I am a life long resident of Lake County. I graduated from Riverside High School and attended Hiram College prior to entering veterinary school. After working as an associate veterinarian for four years, I started the Big Creek Veterinary Hospital as a solo practitioner in 1991.

I have always enjoyed the variety and challenge of working with animals. This profession allows for the opportunity to treat and perform surgeries on a variety of species. It also allows the opportunity for me to network with other veterinarians through several professional societies. I am currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association. Over the past several years, I have been especially proud of the excellent staff and the veterinarians that we have been able to assemble as a team at the Big Creek.

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Tracie, and my two dogs. I also enjoy skiing, hiking and riding my quarter horses. For the last thirty-one years, I have resided in Leroy Township. (Source)
