Dr. Harper joined ACM’s staff in 1994 after responding to Dr. Carol’s (his fellow UMC graduate) request to come to Southwest Missouri and practice. Dr. John, who grew up in northwest Missouri, received his DVM from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. His signature cowboy hat and boots have made him an easily recognizable favorite of ACM’s clientele. Dr. Harper practices mixed animal medicine but spends most of his time taking care of horses and cattle. He is also a talented small animal orthopedic surgeon.
