Jordan Paige Lopez, DVM

Dr. Jordan Lopez is originally from right here in Ocala, FL. She moved to Gainesville, FL, for her undergrad degree at the University of Florida. She majored in biology as an undergrad and was able to stay at UF for Vet School. Go Gators! She was on the large animal track during vet school and received a certificate in food animal science.

Prior to vet school, Dr. Lopez worked as a small animal vet tech and at an equine clinic processing lab work, health certificates, coggins, and sales paperwork. In vet school, she found herself doing a variety of large animal work throughout clinics and externships. During that time, she developed an interest in reproduction and ophthalmology. She also enjoys preventative care and working on non-equine large animal species. Dr. Lopez is a member of the AAEP, AABP and AASRP.

Outside of work, you can find Dr. Lopez enjoying typical Florida activities such as fishing, finding new places to paddleboard and relaxing on her in-law’s farm filled with an assortment of animals. (Source)
