Joshua Singer, DVM

Dr. Joshua Singer used to work on a ranch in Colorado. One day, his horse fractured a bone in his foot; working directly with the local veterinarian to help heal his equine companion showed Dr. Singer just how much of an impact a veterinarian can have. He knew right away that he wanted to do the same thing!

Dr. Singer grew up outside of Atlanta, and attended Colorado State University to complete his pre-requisite coursework before heading to the University of Georgia for veterinary school. He joined the South Rhea Animal Hospital family in June of 2017, and couldn’t be happier to live and work in eastern Tennessee—an area he’s always loved—as an Associate Veterinarian with the clinic team.

Dr. Singer brings with him special interests in orthopedic medicine and ophthalmology work. He also loves being a part of a close-knit team that works together to do what’s best for each and every patient; Dr. Singer especially likes meeting new pets and their owners on a daily basis!

Aside from his interests in the veterinary world, Dr. Singer enjoys outdoor activities, exercising, renovating his home, and spending quality time with his family. He and his wife, Alisa, have a beautiful and fun-loving daughter named Eliza, and share their home with two dogs: a cute but mischievous Golden Retriever, Hank, and an athletic Black Lab named Gunner.
