I grew up in Verona and graduated from the UW Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. In 1999, I founded Country View Veterinary Service in 1999 with Dr. Larry Mahr and now I am transitioning to Country View Equine Clinic with excitement!
Since childhood I have been devoted to horses and truly love spending every day outside with horses and horse people. Reproduction, senior horse care and wellness care are my favorite areas in practice. I also enjoy working on all farm animals and the variety of care that can be provided to them.
In recent years I have become very involved with the Equitarian Initiative through teaching a yearly workshop in Costa Rica as well as organizing and leading projects annually in Haiti and South Dakota on the Pine Ridge Reservation. This nonprofit provides sustainable care to working equids and training for their owners.
Outside of work and volunteerism, I love riding, hiking and most of all spending time with my husband and two sons. (Source)
