Julie Inghram

Julie started riding at a very early age by the side of her father, John Inghram, who had horses since the time Julie was born. She got her first horse at the age of 12, and her father helped her train it. By the time Julie was a teenager, barrel racing and spending time with her friends trail riding were her passions.

When Julie’s sister Jean was looking at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Julie and her father met Nancy Springer, an accomplished trainer and manager of one of the first Arabian farms in the United States—Van Vleet Arabians of Denver.

Julie says that she was extremely fortunate to be able to spend her summers, starting at age 15, apprentice training with Springer, going to A-rated Arabian shows along the eastern slope of the Rockies. Ultimately, the classical foundation that Julie received from Nancy Springer evolved into dressage training and showing. (Source)
