Kaitlyn Alison Michelle Coleman

Dr. Kaitlyn Coleman is originally from Orlando, Florida. She knew she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine at a young age, as she had loved to be around animals for as long as she can remember. Dr. Coleman earned her Bachelor’s degree and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University in Alabama. Her primary interest is in equine surgery, however, she says she’s becoming more interested in internal medicine.

During Dr. Coleman’s academic career at Tuskegee University, she worked as a work-study student at their large animal clinic assisting with surgeries, radiographs, lameness exams, physical exams and providing basic care. During the summer of 2016 she worked as a horseback guide through the Rocky Mountains National Park. Outside of work, Dr. Coleman loves to trail ride, go to the beach and spend time with her animals. She owns two horses, a Tennessee Walking Horse and a Missouri Fox Trotter, two German Shepherds, a cat and a bearded dragon. (Source)
